Three outfits you should take on holiday

Monday, 23 May 2016

THE EASY COVER-UP
Playsuit - H+M
Hat - TopShop

One of the most important outfits to pack, as you will always need something simple and easy to throw on when you're by the pool. I think a playsuit works great because a one piece will always be easier than having to carry around separates, and I love this one from H+M as this simple pattern goes with so much and won't clash with your bikinis. I also love this hat from Topshop as it's huge and protects your shoulders from the sun as well.

THE CASUAL DINNER
Top - Primark (customised)
Skirt - MissGuided
Choker - Ebay

I love dressing up for a dinner, but when it's still so hot sometimes it's difficult to find something you'll be comfortable in. A simple top with a flattering mini skirt always looks great and will keep you cool through the evening, and a choker will always make an outfit look thought out and put together.

THE DAY OUT
Bag - Accessorize
Top - H+M
Skirt - H+M

I LOVE this outfit and can't wait to wear it! It will be perfect for a day walking around or going on a sightseeing tour, because it's so floaty and light so you'll feel relaxed all day. The Bardot style top looks so flattering when paired with a skater skirt, and this one from H+M is a great way to add in a bit of colour to the look.

THE SHOES
Heels - Primark
Trainers - Nike
Sandals - Office

Now I'll probably being taking more than these three, but I think these are the types of shoes you should always have in your suitcase. A pair of low (ish) heels for the evening that you can definitely walk in for a longer period of time, some trainers for days when you're walking around all day and sandals for around the pool. It's important to think about what shoes will go with how many outfits so you can pack less and not take every single pair you own!

Hope you enjoyed the post!

Published in INK Journal 2016

This week my University published my non fiction piece 'Giallo' in their annual INK journal, a book of students work that also includes poetry and Fiction. I'm so grateful that my work was chosen (I heard they got over 1000 entries!) and it's amazing to see my work in print along side so many other brilliant writings.
I'm sorry this blog has been a bit quiet over the last couple of weeks, but it's my last few weeks of uni so I've really been focusing on trying to get all my essays done. Just another 6000 words to go hahaha...
Soon I'm off to Greece on holiday and I will be doing a couple of posts centred around that, I can't wait to see all the amazing pictures I'm going to capture!
Thank you for reading!
