Everyday makeup with new products - including Kylie Jenner and Charlottle Tilbury!

Friday, 29 January 2016

So you know what it's like at Christmas, you end up buying all the makeup that's on your wish list and then you have no money left. Yeah, hopefully it's not just me. But I can say that it was all worth it as every new product I've bought I've absolutely loved and has become a staple in my routine, so I thought I'd give a couple of mini reviews!
First of all, yes I managed to get my hands on the infamous Kylie Jenner Lip Kit in Candy K. I was on the website praying that it wouldn't crash and when I got the confirmation email I was embarrassingly happy. The shipping price was ridiculous but it actually came really quickly, and the first thing I loved about this product was the packaging as I felt well crafted and worth the money. On to the actual product, I'm in love! The liner feels so smooth and easy to apply and it's literally the perfect pinky nude for my lips, and it has great lasting power very similar to the MAC liners. The liquid lipstick I feel is a slightly different shade as it looks a lot darker, and on top of the liner it gives your lips a more plummy brown look which personally I think is so flattering and really gives you the 'Kylie' pout!
I also got a couple of things from MAC, including the Prep and Prime highlighter in Bright Forecast. The product itself can look a bit scary as it comes out a bit orange, but once blended into the skin (under the eyes, along the nose and forehead) it makes you look so fresh and gives you a healthy glow. I also got a Powder Blush in Desert Rose and it just gives your cheeks a flawless pinky flush of colour, which I really think helps your contour and highlight blend together so they don't look so strong.
Speaking of highlight and contour, I treated myself to some Charlotte Tilbury while I was in London, and I picked up the Filmstar Bronze and Glow. I really had to restrict myself as I just wanted to buy everything, but I knew I would end up with this as it's just so beautiful! The contour shade is perfect for me as it's quite subtle but your can build it up for nights out, and the gold highlight is so pretty that you just want to keep piling it on!

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope the pictures are ok quality as I had to take them on my phone!
