Get Ready With Me - A Night Out

Thursday, 26 March 2015

I realised that I haven't really done a makeup post in a while, so I thought I'd share the make up look I usually go for if I'm going out on a Saturday night.
Now, as you can probably tell, I'm not one for wearing a lot of slap. My 'night out' make up routine is pretty much my 'everyday' look but with a few more products added in! The first step is usually to paint my nails and its usually any colour from Essie. My foundation of choice is the L'Oreal True Match as its one of the best on the high street that gives really good coverage but feels light on the skin. For concealing I turn to Bobbi Browns corrector for under the eyes and the creamy concealer for any blemishes and redness, and this is when I also apply Urban decays Primer Potion to my eyelids. I then powder my face all over using Rimmels clear complexion as it is of high importance that my make up actually stays on my face during the night.
Then after combing through my eyebrows I fill them in with the shade Buck from the Naked Palette. Then I define my eyes using the Shade Toasted all over the lid, Hustle in the crease and outer corner then I highlight the brow bone using Sin. I love to then pack on the mascara, and my favourite still is Revlons Grow Luscious. And, a little tip for a night out, use a cheap waterproof mascara over the top and your bottom lashes!
The last step is blusher and I love MAC Melba, and then when I'm about to leave I apply a little of MAC's kinda sexy to my lips!

I hope you guys enjoyed the post!

Looking back for S/S 2015

Tuesday, 17 March 2015

If you're one for keeping up with trends, you'll know that there is one particular style dominating the summer of 2015. The 70's. Flares are back, boho dresses are in every high street shop, leather and suede are everywhere and crochet tops are a must have item. I love that this decade is back in a big way, so I thought I'd show you all the original style icons you need to know, and how to steal their style. This post will feature my favourite high street brands TopShop and Jones Bootmaker.

The Runways

Stevie Nicks

Bianca Jagger

So whether you are into tailored suits, mini dresses or want to be in an all girl punk band, the 70's will have a style for you! I hope you enjoyed reading this post and have a great summer 2015!

All clothes from TopShop.
All shoes and accessories from Jones Bootmaker.

Top 5 random places on the Internet for procrastinating

Do you ever find yourself just wandering around on the internet, and then suddenly coming across a site that you've never been on before...and then before you know it your phone battery has died because you've been on it for hours.
Yeah me too.
I thought I'd do a post on a couple of websites that I usually find myself spending time on when I've got nothing better to do, well to be honest I probably do have better things to do I'm just putting them off. So here are a few random internet sites for procrastinating...

Of course this goes without saying, tumblr is addictive. C'mon even BeyoncĂ©, probably the busiest woman on the planet is on there all the time.

I've lost count of the amount of times I've mentioned Rookie on this blog and I'm pretty sure everyone's heard about it now, but just in case I thought I'd include it on this list because everyone needs to check it out! With new articles, photo diary's and journal entries everyday Rookie is an amazing website for inspiration, advice and just entertainment!

For music fans, particularly of rock bands from over 20 years ago, this will be an amazing site for you. If you want to see rare photos or random trivia of people from Kurt Cobain to Bob Marley this is the place to go. Honestly. Its amazing.

Now this is hilarious. All day, everyday, there are people waiting patiently at the crossing for no traffic, then their friend runs into the middle of the road and snaps a picture of them walking on the crossing.

This is by far my favourite twitter profile, as every photo is a rare look at moments in history and I could keep scrolling for hours!

I hope you enjoyed this random post, and enjoy procrastinating!
